Joel Barlow and Brookfield dueled to a hard-fought 1-1 tie, making them co-champions of the CIAC Class L state tournament. This was Barlow's first state title since 2001 and first time they won both SWC conference and state titles since 1998. Danbury News-Times > GO

Barlow Shocks Wethersfield, 2-1

Scott St. Cyr headed the ball into the net with 0.1 second remaining in regulation time to tie the Class L semifinal match with Wethersfield at 1-1 and then proceeded to score the game-winner minutes later in overtime. Barlow's stunning 2-1 victory sends it into the title match against Brookfield High on Monday, Nov. 19, at Pomperaug at 6:30 pm. News-Time Live > GO

Falcons Advance to CIAC Semifinals

Barlow goalie Cody Hickok made the game-winning save on Fairfield Ludlowe's fifth penalty kick as Barlow outlasted Ludlowe to capture its quarterfinal match on Saturday. Barlow and Ludlowe completed regulation and two overtimes tied at 1-1 before Hickok's dramatic save. Connecticut Post > GO

Joel Barlow dominated possession and scored two second-half goals to defeat Bacon Academy 2-0 in the second round of the Class L state tournament.

10/22 - MONROE - Cody Hickok recorded his 32nd shutout in goal, setting a new Joel Barlow record for shutouts.  Alex Van Steinburgh added two goals in support of Hickok's sterling play in the goal. Redding Pilot > GO News-Times > GO

10/15 - FAIRFIELD - Seven Barlow players scored goals with freshman Sean Basak-Smith tallying two in an 8-0 victory over Fairfield-Notre Dame Monday. Sophomore goalie Anthony Caruso secured the shutout for the Falcons. News-Times > GO
